Getting Started with Google AdSense
Its easy to get started with AdSense and
it only takes a few minutes. You fill out
one single online application and that's it.
Once you’re approved, it takes only minutes
to set up AdSense; all you have to do is
copy and paste a designated block of HTML
into the source code for your site. Once you
do that, targeted ads will start showing up
on your website.
Google has no strict criteria for
acceptance into the AdSense program, and Ad
Sense doesn't hit you with a minimum traffic
requirement. The only criteria they're
really sticky about is the standard
acceptable content requirements, and that's
pretty standard almost anywhere.
Google AdSense says they're serious about
attracting quality content sites, and
because of that they only allow AdSense
members to serve so many ads per page. This
information changes quite often on Google so
you should read the guidelines before adding
your ads. As of the time of this writing
they are allowing three AdSense ads per page
along with a Google Search box.
You do have to have a website up and
running before you can apply for an account.
It doesn't matter if you just bought your
domain name a couple days ago, as long as
your site is online.
They will have a real person look at your
site and make sure it is ready for visitors.
It must have content, not just a list of
links. Google will only approve sites that
offer information to internet surfers.
Once you've been accepted into Google
AdSense, you'll be able to get the AdSense
advertisements on any site you own using the
same ad code, provided you obey the Google
guidelines.
Before you place your ads, you really
should read the lengthy and detailed
Guidelines on the AdSense site. Make sure
you understand what you are reading. If you
don't understand, write to Google and get
clarification.
Even though it is fairly easy to get a
Google AdSense account, it is also easy to
lose it if you try to bend the rules.
Play fair and you will make money. If you
cheat, you lose. |
